Kylee Jo Brock ♥

So on March 31st... Arek, the Kids and I headed to the Sierra Vista Animal Shelter. We knew we wanted another puppy, but we were leaning towards a small dog. We went there at a time where they only had one small dog & she had already been adopted. So we still went to the large dog area and fed all the dogs a snack like we usually do. Well Arek went straight to this German Shepherd. She was beautiful and of course he wanted to take her home right then and there. Even though I was hoping for a small breed.. I couldn't deny how pretty and sweet she was. We knew right away she would make a great companion for Kera too. So we took her out of the kennel and took her for a walk. She was well behaved & even listened to commands such as, sit, shake, lay down. So the next test was how she was with the kids. She loved the kids, gave kisses, let them snuggle with her, pull on her.. everything kids do. She didn't care at all. She won over our hearts right away.

They had found her on the street so she still had to get her shots, fixed, and microchipped. We adopted her that day. We weren't able to pick her up until Friday night. She had to see the Vet all day Friday. They did an exam on her. Everything looks good. She is a little under weight but we can fix that :) She is about two years old. They did not know her name so we got to name her. I wanted a name that would go with Kera. So I thought Kylee was perfect & I loved the name. Then Arek though of her middle name Jo. Kylee Jo Brock. It's perfect! I call her Kylee, or Ky Ky and Arek calls her JoJo... the kids call her Kylee most of the time.

We picked her up Friday night. She was still out of it from her surgery. She just wanted to snuggle and sleep. We introduced her to Kera when we got home. We thought Kera would be too hyper and excited but she did great. She took it easy with Kylee and just sniffed her out. They laid together and it was a good meeting. The kids were so happy to have her home & are in love with both dogs. Even though Kylee has to take it easy the next two weeks, her and Kera are getting along great. Once Kylee is healed I am sure they will have a blast playing together and we can't wait to take them both to the Lake!

They are both perfect dogs to protect our house. They are great with the kids and each other. We are lucky to have found Kylee and adopted her. Arek and I love her... although I have claimed her as my dog :) She is a sweet heart! A perfect addition to our family ♥

Parker Canyon Lake

So we had heard there was a lake close by and have been wanting to check it out. All four of us love being outdoors and love water. So finally we had made time to drive there. It was only a half an hour drive and worth it! It was so beautiful. We took Kera with us since we know she loves the water. She loved spending time at Westcott Beach last year with Zues swimming around. Right when we got to the Lake, Kera instantly got in the water. She absolutely loved fetching sticks. The kids were happy to just be throwing rocks and sticks in the water. There were a lot of fishers in the front of the Lake so we wanted to go across to another part. We hiked a little ways which the kids thought was the coolest thing. We even had to cross a small creek which Titan insisted he could just walk through, the water part not the rocks. haha. It was cute. We spent about two hours just enjoying the view and watching the kids play and Kera go crazy in the water. We had brought bread with us to feed the ducks. Yet, we are sure they were a little scared of Kera because everytime we got close they the moved other way. We still had lots of fun :) It was a great family day. MaKenzie was a cute "Hike Leader" who just wanted to keep hiking. She loved throwing sticks for Kera and wanted Daddy to teach her how to skip rocks. Titan thought the rocks sinking in the water was so neat and kept picking up rocks telling us to "WATCH" over and over again. He also was such a boy, wanting to go off and be on his own little hike. He didn't need us he just wanted to enjoy the outdoors! The two of them are precious!

We are happy to be finding all these great things to do out here. We had a lot of fun stuff to do in New York so it is nice to have some things to do out here. Although, we still miss NY & our friends out there!!!!!!

We will definitely be going back to the Lake to fish, go boating and etc!!!!

First & hopefully the last!

So we had our first incident on Saturday where one of our kiddos needed a staple. We went to the Tucson Zoo with the Morris Family. After only being there for 10 minutes or so we were waiting for the Giraffe Encounter to start. MaKenzie and Brock were jumping and playing getting excited when she fell down and scratched her knee. Daddy comforted her and she felt better. Then he went to lift her on his shoulders, not realizing there was a branch above their heads. So she nailed her head on the branch and the blood started gushing out right away. We knew right away we had to get it looked at. So Arek rushed to the front to look for a medic and James follwed. Lexi and I got the little kids in the strollers and headed to the entrance as well. The people were very helpful with Gauze, antibiotic, and water since both Arek and Kenzie were covered in blood but were not qualified to evaluate her. So Arek took her to the Urgent Care down the street while Titan and I stayed back with the Morris'. I enjoyed walking around with them looking at all the animals. Of coursed we missed MaKenzie though. She was so scared when it first happend at the sight of blood, but once she got to Urgent care and got cleaned up she was a brave little girl. After hours of waiting and seeing nurses and doctors she had to get one staple on her head. She didn't shed a tear and was so strong. We were done with the Zoo and at the park by the time they got back so we met them at the park next to it. MaKenzie was the cutest thing right when I got her out of the car she said "Look Mom the doctor fixed my boo boo on my head, I'm as good as new!" I didn't know if I wanted to cry or smile because she is such a big girl. I hate seeing either of my kids get hurt and wish I could just wrap them up in bubble wrap for the rest of there lives ;). I hope to god it is the only time either one of them will need staples or stitches!!!!

Trip to the Zoo ♥

We had anxiously been waiting for nice weather to head up to Tucson & got to the Zoo. Finally this weekend it was in the 70's! Perfect weather and so nice out. We spent our whole Saturday in Tucson. First we went to the Zoo. I think I was just as excited as the kids were! The kids love animals and were excited to go see them all in person. They walked all around the park adoring every single animal. They knew what majority of the animals were from Dora & Diego Rescue shows. MaKenzie amazed us by which animals she knew. So smart! Titan's favorite was definitely the Giraffes. We did the Giraffe encounter which the kids loved. We got to walk out on a deck and feed them. MaKenzie & Titan were both so brave and weren't even scared for a second. One of my favorites were the Otters. They are so cute and always put on a show. Love watching them swim around and play. We all four loved the Monkeys though. One monkey put on a show for everyone... he was swinging around doing all kinds of tricks. We had a great time as a family, and the zoo was nice!

After the Zoo, there was a little train outside of it that you can ride on. So we waited for the train and he took us all around the lake at the park right next to the Zoo. Titan is obsessed with trains lately so he thought it was the coolest thing. That was always his word of the day. "Cool" Everything we did or every animal he seen he would say "cool!" We saw from our train ride that there were tons of ducks and geese around the lake so we had to run to the store and grab some bread then headed back to Reid Park. MaKenzie's favorite thing to do is feed the ducks. Of course Titan loves it too. So we fed the ducks then played on the park. It was a beautiful afternoon!

We always try to make the best out of our weekends & love our family days ♥

Rodeo Weekend!

We knew the Rodeo was coming & we were anxiously waiting for it. The kids love animals and were excited to see them. Arek had volunteered to compete in the Steer Wrestling Competition with two other guys from his company. We thought he would be competing on Friday night so we ended up going to the Rodeo both days. Friday night was a lot of fun. MaKenzie and Arek ended up joining the "Calf Wrestling Competition" for kids. They had to chase calves around and try to get the ribbon off their tails. There were 3 calves vs. 100+ kids. haha. So they just had fun running around trying to catch them. MaKenzie got a ribbon for participating and was very proud! I wish it wasn't so dark so I could have gotten better pictures or a video! We had a great night watching all of the competitions. We love the country scene & can't wait to be living in a small country town in Colorado in two years!!!!

Saturdays Rodeo was just as fun... minus the sun coming in and out & the rain coming and going. This time all four of us competed in the Calf Wrestling (Titan had been sleeping the night before so we just watched Daddy & Kenzie). We had a lot of fun trying to catch them, except this time there was like 200 kids & it ended fast. Still the kids thought it was awesome. Titan was so proud to be running around trying to catch them. They both got ribbons for participating that are now in their rooms, which they love. Arek and two of his friends from his company did the Steer Wrestling Competition. It was awesome to watch. All three of them did a great job. They were super fast and definitely were far ahead all three of the other teams. They won & we all couldn't have been more proud. The Rodeos were fun, we had great time as a family & are now hoping to own our own little farm, with horses in Colorado some day :) It's a dream, but it would be nice! ♥

Out to the movies!

After I went to the movies for a girl's night Friday. MaKenzie was interested in going out to the movies! So, I told her that we would take her to see a movie sometime. When I asked her what she wanted to do yesterday she had not forgotten about the movies! haha. So we looked online and saw that Alvin & the Chipmunks Squeakuel was playing and she wanted to see it. We decided it would be fun to take the kids to a movie and knew they would be okay to sit through it without getting restless. We had never all four went to the movies so it was our first time to the movies as a family!

Arek and I loved spoiling them with popcorn, candy and slurpee's. They both did great. Kenzie thought it was the coolest thing ever. She loved the movie too. Titan thought it was fun! He loved just sitting or snuggling watching the movie. Both of them sitting there eating popcorn enjoying the movie was priceless to us! We had a great time. The movie was cute too :) We look forward to new movies coming out that we can take them to!

Big Kids!

We have been potty training Titan for almost a week and half now. He is in big boy underwear during the day and wears diapers at night(until we run out then we are buying pull ups) He has been doing so good. We are very proud of him. Most of the time he will go the whole day without any accidents or a little tinkle. He has had a few accidents though. One of which I found a little trail of "logs" haha. But really he has been doing great. He is so cute when he realizes he has to go pee. He jumps up grabs himself and yells "PEE PEE!" and runs to the bathroom. Now at night time in the middle of the night he has woken up saying pee pee! Hopefully pretty soon we can go out places too without having to bring diapers or worry about accidents! We are so proud of our little guy ♥

MaKenzie is getting excited about starting ballet next month. We really want to get her into something she can look forward to that's her age group with other kids. So we are signing her up for ballet. I am going to wait until after we get back from Las Vegas so she doesn't have to miss any of her classes. She is already practicing "ballerina poses" she learns off tv. I know she will do great and I can't wait to see her at her classes!!!! We have to get her outfit within the next couple weeks, how cute will she be as a pink ballerina? So excited :)
