Liam's Baby Shower ♥

We were very lucky to have some of our family come visit and spend time with us for Liam's baby shower. We were also very lucky to have Anne and Melissa through us a great party! It was a small get together but we had a great time with family and friends!

We played several games that were very interesting and a lot of fun. Lots of good laughs. Melissa did a great job with the cake and Anne made sure I had some of my favorite snacks, fruits and veggies with sandwiches and my favorite cheese dip for chips! It was sweet how they put it all together for us and we were very appreciative. We also thank everyone who came and for all of the presents!

The after party of the Baby shower was a fun time outside with the pools and water balloons which turned into a block party and all out water war!! Always fun though :) It was just great to be around some of our family and close friends!

It was a very nice day and we are now ready for Liam's arrival. We have everything we need! Just need our handsome, healthy baby boy to make his appearance in a few weeks!!

Morris' Visit!

The Morris' came to visit us on Brock's 6th Birthday! We couldn't have been more excited to see them. The kids had no idea before hand that they were coming. We left it as a complete surprise. MaKenzie was at school when they got here.. so it was just Arek, Titan and I at home. Titan was surprised and gave Uncle James a huge hug right away. Then came around to saying hi and giving loves to everyone else. Once Arek got Kenzie from school Lex, James, and the kids hid in Titan's room. I told MaKenzie I changed his room around and wanted to surprise her. She closed her eyes and when we opened the door her face was absolutely priceless. She looked like she was ready to cry and definitely in complete shock. She was so happy to see them!

They were here visiting us for 4 days and it was a great time. The kids loved playing together. They woke up at the crack of dawn full of energy and ready to go for the day. It was a nice visit and we enjoyed every second of it. Lots of quality time, special memories created and good laughs. MaKenzie and Brock were inseparable of course. I love the bond they have and that it doesn't matter how long it has been since they seen or talked to each other last.. they pick up right where they left off! Titan and Aly on the other hand both adore the older kids. They unfortunately don't have the same bond since they never really had the chance to bond over a long period of time.. it's always short visits! They do have their moments though, and those moments are special! Can't wait to see what these visits will be like once we have Grant and Liam in the picture!!

We were of course sad when it was time for them to go! MaKenzie has the hardest time with "see you laters". She just wishes we could have our extended families close to us all the time. Can't blame her! We miss them all lots!

Hoppity Easter!

We had a great Easter with the kids! The day before Easter we took the kids to go see the Easter bunny and to an Egg Hunt on base at the PX. We were the first ones in line to see the bunny and the only ones for a bit, so we took advantage of the photo op. :) Then the kids got to take their pictures with the bunny and wait for the egg hunt to start. The egg hunt was fun for them and they both got a decent amount of eggs. We also found the golden egg and the kids won a $25 gift card to the px :) So we let them go inside and pick out a Easter basket each. They were both very excited. On Saturday night we did our Easter egg coloring and the kids had a blast. They were creative and fun to watch! We put out carrots for the bunny and headed to bed.

A week before Easter Arek and I bought them there gifts. Which was a little tricky since their main gift was an actual bunny! We had to sneak him into our bathroom and hide him there for a week! We didn't want him to get lonely either so we randomly took turns hiding out in the bedroom playing with him. It was hard but definitely well worth it Easter morning! The kids had been talking about getting a bunny for a while. Easter morning was precious. The kids grabbed their baskets and were off to find eggs.. they both loved it and somehow they both ended up with 15 eggs each! Then we "heard" a sound in the guest room and went off to investigate. The best part by far were the kids faces when they opened the door BUT it wasn't for the bunny.. neither one of them seen the bunny at first it was the excitement for the baskets! Arek and I couldn't help but laugh. After a few minutes of exploring their baskets we hinted that there was something else above them. Titan finally stood up and said "whoa, what's that!" Then MaKenzie stood up in complete awhhh. It was absolutely precious! They were both so excited and couldn't believe the Easter bunny left them one of his baby bunnies. They played with Hopper on and off all day. They absolutely adore him still to this day :)

After our Easter fun at home we headed to yet another egg hunt at the church. It was a blast for the kids specially since they had a ridiculous amount of eggs on the field and not a ton of people. It was a good time! We also had an Egg hunt in the neighborhood later that day. So by the end of the day.. they had enough eggs and candy to last them until NEXT Easter!! It was a great weekend though and we enjoyed every minute of watching their excitement and fun!

The start of warm weather and water fun.

We are finally starting to get some nice warm weather. So of course we had to take advantage of it and set up the pool for the kids. MaKenzie is a fish and could swim for hours and Titan is finally coming around to the idea of swimming.. as long as it is his size pool. He loves being able to reach and not feel overwhelmed in the water. So the pool we bought for them is perfect! They played in the pool for hours, enjoyed the nice weather and then passed out when we came inside. I also took advantage of the weather to get a tan and not be such a ghost, but instead of tanning, I burnt! haha. It was still a fun day with the kids :)

Flour mess!

So.. I underestimated my husband just a little bit. Apparently he did not care about the mess it was going to make and I was not as safe as I thought I was when I decided to poke and tease him as his hands were occupied in flour and eggs making Chicken Katsu. I thought for sure I was safe and didn't have to worry about him getting me. Obviously I was wrong.. war broke out in flour and I lost! haha. I did get one good handful of eggs and mashed it into his ear, but that didn't compare to turning me into a flour ghost :)

Softball ♥

MaKenzie has been anxious to start a sport or some sort of after school activity. Finally, we decided on Softball. MaKenzie was very anxious, excited and nervous before her first game. Her team is the Purple Ponies. After her first practice she fell in love with it. Her nerves went down a little but she was still nervous that everyone was going to be staring at her during the game. Opening Ceremony was a lot of fun. It was a busy day for us. First meeting all the other teams at the ceremony. Then we had pictures and our first game! MaKenzie's first game was nothing but pure joy to watch. I couldn't have been more proud of my little girl. She played awesome. She was excited and great the whole time. The smile on her face was absolutely priceless. Titan loved watching his big sissy play too. He was her number one fan cheering her on!

One of the things MaKenzie was most excited about was that daddy got to be an assistant coach on the team. Of course Arek loves it as well. It has given them a lot of time to bond one on one and I'm sure he has to be very proud! Titan and I love watching and cheering them both on from the side :)

We are now approaching her last game and it's kind of sad. The season has flown by, but it has been so much fun to watch her play every game. She has grown a lot and learned the sport pretty well. I couldn't be more proud of her for going to every game givin it her all. She is a great player and it is definitely a sport we will sign up for again. As of now we are looking into signing up for Cheerleading for the Sierra Vista football team starting this summer as our next adventure :)

Irvine park & Huntington beach ♥

Day four was more of a relaxing day for us. We started our morning off eating breakfast at Burger King. Then we headed to Irvine Railroad Park. The kids absolutely loved it there. It was a beautiful park with gorgeous scenery. We had lots to do at the park. First we went on a train ride around the park. Which of course both of the kids loved. Then we did a pony ride. I wasn't sure how Titan would like it but I knew MaKenzie would love it. Surprisingly Titan loved it, too. It was a lot of fun for both of them. After that we took a walk around the park and went to their zoo. We all love animals so it was great. They had a nice little petting zoo area too. The kids got to feed, pet and brush the goats. After our fun at the zoo we rented a deuce coupe bike and rode around the park. Everything was very relaxing and fun.

After all of our fun at the park we headed to Huntington Beach. One of my favorite places to be. Although I wish the weather had been nicer! When we first got their we walked the pier. The ocean is so beautiful.. I wish we could live somewhere close to one someday! After walking the pier.. Arek got in the water with MaKenzie as Titan and I stayed more on the edge. We searched all searched for shells then Arek and the kids dug tunnels in the sand. While they were digging they found little crabs. MaKenzie found the first one and was terrified but they thought it was pretty neat and found a few more before they were finished.

After the beach we headed back to the hotel, went swimming then ordered pizza. It was a great day and night. Vacations are exhausting but we did take this day for nothing but relaxing activities. I love the quality time more than anything! I cherish our vacations and hope we continue to have at least one every year!
